Amberley the Good Witch

Rebekah has been working as an actor, singer and puppeteer across New Zealand and internationally since 2014. She is a graduate of the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts (Bachelor of Performing Arts).

Rebekah played Glinda in the NZ company premiere of Wicked (Showbiz Christchurch) then went on to reprise the role in Invercargill (IMT) and New Plymouth (NPOS). Other performing highlights include The Little Mermaid (Court Theatre) Glenn Miller and The Andrews Sisters (Operatunity) Infectious (Tom Sainsbury & Jason Smith) The Best Roles I’ll Probably Never Play (In The Loop Productions) Unsupervised (Basement Theatre) and The Isolation Mixtape (Blackboard Theatre Collective).

As a puppeteer Rebekah has worked on Black Dog (Little Dog Barking) Special Edition music video (Fat Freddy’s Drop) The Ugly Duckling (Court Theatre) Peter and the Wolf (Singapore International Festival of Arts/SILO Theatre) The Lost Sock (Tusk Puppets) and Whoa! Productions Television series Custard’s World (HEIHEI/TVNZ on Demand) where she was mentored by Peter Linz (Ernie, Sesame Street).

In 2020 Rebekah co-founded the company Tusk Puppets with fellow puppeteer and puppet maker Edwin Beats. They have made puppets for The Badger Story (Glass Ceiling Arts Collective) Rumpelstiltskin (NZ Playhouse) Shrek Jr. (Kids4Drama) and the Creative Genius Series (NZ Police).
